Saturday 10th January – 2026 Epiphany Lecture at 4pm in Rossorry Parish Church when Mr. Gordon Hayhurst will be speaking about ‘Operation Chastise’ - The Dambuster Raid of 16-17th May 1943. This raid was immortalised in the 1955 movie The Dam Busters. Gordon has two relatives who served on Operation Chastise and Bomber Command, Thomas Stanley Hayhurst and Bill Howarth. Along with his talk Gordon will have an array of period artefacts on display. Please come along for a most interesting talk by Mr. Gordon Hayhurst.
