The CMS Ireland Annual Project Launch took place in St Macartin’s Cathedral Hall, Enniskillen recently. The project was presented by Ronnie Briggs, Mission Director with the Church Missionary Society Ireland. Twelve Sunday Schools were represented and twenty-seven persons present. Mr Jim Kerr welcomed all present and opened the meeting with prayer and a reading from Acts 3:1-10.
The Project features the Sundar Dhoka Church in Nepal, which began as a group of disabled Christians who met in the home of Babu Kaji, himself disabled, and now the pastor of the Church.
The Church is involved in outreach, which includes a Leprosy Colony in Katmandu. At present they use taxi services to travel. So the project is hoping to raise over £30,000, a third of which will support the Charity Care Fund, and two thirds for the provision of a vehicle for transport. In this way the Sundar Dhoka Church, as followers of Jesus demonstrate their love for God and their love for others.
