Dancerella proves a big success for Lisbellaw Parish

The pantomime season got well underway in Lisbellaw Parish recently when they staged their performance of “Dancerella,” a play written by Rector, Revd Stephanie Woods.

The play was originally written by Revd Stephanie for pupils of Belleek Primary School when she was a teacher there and she re-wrote it to suit adult cast members from her parish.

Originally organised to run over two nights in the Parish Centre, the tickets sold out so fast that a third night was added.

Revd Stephanie said the play’s success was based on the talents of parishioners who took part.

The choreography was arranged by Joan and Stephanie Wiggins and Tracey Kernoghan, who grew up in the Parish, directed the play.

The stage design was headed by Natasha Dane and Heather Humphreys with construction by Andrew Lynn.

The cast included churchwardens, glebewardens, local people and local school schoolchildren with guest appearances from the Bishop of Clogher, Right Revd John McDowell; Jason Kilfedder, Principal of Lisbellaw Primary School and Ingrid Logan, recently retired Principal of Lisbellaw Primary school.
DVDs are now available from people in the parish.
