Roadshow and ‘one to one session’ on GDPR

 

A roadshow and one to one sessions on GDPR are being offered in Clogher Diocese by the RCB on Wednesday, 8th May.

The roadshow is being held in the Hilliard Room, Cathedral Hall, Enniskillen at 7.30pm and one to one sessions will be taking place between 3pm-5pm and also on Thursday, 9th May from 10am to 12.30pm.

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into effect a year ago and placed responsibilities upon how organisations manage personal data. These regulations also apply to the Church of Ireland and places requirements upon Dioceses and parishes to ensure that they are compliant with GDPR in how they store and process personal data.

Rebekah Fozzard is the Church of Ireland's Data Protection Officer and she has produced a number of very useful guidance documents to assist parishes and dioceses with the implementation of GDPR including the Data Controllers Guide to GDPR and A Parish Handbook.
