St Macartin featured in new window dedicated in Cathedral
Attending the dedication of a new stained glass window in St. Macartin’s Cathedral, Enniskillen, the gift of Ivan and Avril Kee are (from left); Sandra Richmond, Churchwarden; the Dean, the Very Revd Kenneth Hall; Avril and Ivan Kee; the Revd Chris McBruithin, Curate; and Richard Cochrane, Churchwarden.
The window design illustrates St Macartin assisting St Patrick on his mission with St Brigid in the background reported to be St Macartin's niece. It also features Clogher Cathedral where St Macartin established his first church. The Rowan tree leaves and berries are symbolic of the name Macartin meaning 'Son of the Rowan Tree.”
