Revd Lindsey Farrell ordained Priest in St. Columb's Cathedral

 


The ordination of Revd Lindsey Farrell and Revd Sean Hanily took place in St. Columb's Cathedral.


The ordination has taken place of Revd Lindsey Farrell as Priest, in a service in St. Columb’s Cathedral, Londonderry.

Revd Farrell, who grew up in Clogher Diocese, was ordained by the Bishop of Derry and Raphoe, the Right Revd Ken Good, along with Revd Sean Hanily.

Revd Farrell takes up the position of Bishop’s Curate in the Grouped Parishes of Inver, Mountcharles, Killaghtee and Killybegs in Co. Donegal in the Diocese of Derry and Raphoe. Revd Hanily takes up his position as Curate in the Parish of Drumragh, Omagh and Mountfield, also in the Diocese of Derry and Raphoe.

The preacher at the service was Revd Canon John Merrick.

Among those attending the service were members of the families and friends of both Priests as well as members of the congregations where they had served their placements and year as Intern Deacons and also members of the parishes they will be joining.

Revd Farrell, served her year as Intern Deacon in Rossorry Parish in Clogher Diocese.

Following the service, members if the congregation in St. Columb’s were hosted to refreshments in St. Augustine’s Church Hall within the city walls where Bishop Good welcomed both Priests to his Diocese.
