Two church buildings with a rich heritage in Clogher Diocese will be open this weekend as part of the European Heritage Open Days.
St. Mary’s Parish Church, Ardess, in Magheraculmoney Parish, Kesh, Co, Fermanagh, will be open on Saturday, 8th September from 2pm to 5pm and on Sunday, 9th September from 2.30pm to 5pm with tours every half hour.
St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Clogher, Co, Tyrone, will be open on Saturday from 10am to 4pm and on Sunday from 9am to 4.30pm. During Sunday afternoon, there will be an organ recital at 3pm and a talk on the history of the Cathedral at 3.45pm.
This year, the open days are also part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage.
