Commissioning Service for new Mothers’ Union Chaplain in Clogher Diocese

The Revd Charles Eames, has been commissioned as Clogher Diocesan Mothers’ Union Chaplain at a special service in St Salvator’s Parish Church, Donagh, Glaslough, Co. Monaghan on Friday, 4th May.

The Mothers’ Union Area Service was conducted by Revd Lorraine Capper and the Bishop of Clogher, Right Revd John McDowell, was the preacher and carried out the Act of Commissioning.
Branch banners were received during the singing of the processional hymn, “Lord, for the years your love has kept and guided.”

The readings were by Mrs Irene Boyd, Clogher Diocesan Mothers’ Union President and Revd Charles Eames and the intercessions were led by Mrs Valerie McMorris, Mothers’ Union Unit Co-ordinator for Faith and Policy and Mrs Liane Armstrong, Mothers’ Union Diocesan Secretary.

Worldwide (Overseas) contributions were received during the offertory hymn, “Brother, sister, let me serve you” and the other hymns were; “Tell out, my soul, the greatness of the Lord,” “In Christ alone my hope is found,” and “Now thank we all our God.”

Donagh Parish Choir sang “Guide, my feet, Lord,” and “Go now in Peace.”

Revd Charles Eames is Non-Stipendiary Minister in charge of Drumkeeran, Muckross and Templecarne parishes in North Fermanagh.
