Magheracross Parish hosts 'Celebration in Sport' Service
The 3rd annual Celebration in Sport Service will take place on Sunday 19th February at 7.00pm in Magheracross Parish Church, Ballinamallard. The event, organised by Ballinamallard United FC through their chaplain, The Venerable Brian Harper, includes interviews with local sports people relevant to their faith. Past interviewees have included goalkeeper Feargal Murphy, players Ivan Sproule and Gareth Carrothers and Portadown FC Academy chaplain, Simon Beare.
Fans and participants from local sports clubs, including cycling, soccer and GAA, have been invited to this community event. Archdeacon Brian Harper will be the preacher and the theme this year is "Fit for Purpose". Previous themes have been "You'll never walk alone" and "My chains fell off".
