Exciting Opportunities with The Church Lads' and Church Girls' Brigade!

It has been an exciting year for the Church Lads' and Church Girls' Brigade, seeing new groups opening throughout Northern Ireland and many children and families coming through the doors of our churches for the first time! We are delighted to invite you and your church to be a part of this time of growth and renewal!

My name is Victoria and I am a Northern Ireland Development Worker for the Church Lads' and Church Girls' Brigade, with Clogher Diocese being one of my key areas of focus. I enjoy the privilege of working with CLCGB groups in Parishes throughout Northern Ireland, specifically in Clogher Diocese in Holy Trinity Dromore and St John's Fivemiletown.

The Church Lads' and Church Girls' Brigade is a Church of Ireland uniformed youth organisation for both boys and girls aged 4-21 years old. Our moto is to extend Christ's Kingdom through Fun, Faith and Fellowship so that children who come along to the CLCGB will make friends, have fun, learn new things and most importantly grow in their faith. We encourage a strong link between our groups and their parish and find that having a CLCGB group is often an excellent means of bringing new families into the church.

We have four different age sections so that the children and young people can enjoy age specific programmes. On a Brigade night the children and young people will be involved in Bible teaching, badge work, sports, crafts, games and music.

Throughout the year our members are kept busy with Regional and National sports competitions, fun days, games nights, services and parades.

Thanks to a generous grant from Youth United the Church Lads' and Church Girls' Brigade now has the opportunity to offer support and financial help to Parishes who wish to open a CLCGB group. This support allows us to cover the cost of membership fees and uniforms as well as providing help with sports and craft equipment. I am also on hand to help you get your group off the ground, finding you leaders and members and promoting your group in the local community and schools. Starting something new can sometimes appear daunting which is why I am here to get alongside you to train and support your leaders as well as taking the first few weeks of your programme.

We strongly recommend the benefits of a Church Lads' and Church Girls' Brigade for your parish, members and community, benefits which have also been recognised by the Archbishop of Armagh, The Most Reverend Richard Lionel Clarke who has said;

"As the Chaplain of the Church Lads' and Church Girls' Brigade I can highly recommend the work of this organisation in giving children a place to belong and to grow in their faith."

If you believe there is a need for a children's and youth organisation in your parish or have been looking for new ways to impact your community and bring families into the church then the Church Lads' and Church Girls' Brigade could be just the answer you are looking for.
