Church Music Workshops
Armagh Church Choir Union with Clogher Diocese invite you to share in Church Music Workshops led by Gordon Appleton.
These are opportunities not to be missed, for anyone with an interest in church music. Gordon is no stranger to Armagh and Enniskillen and has travelled widely leading church music courses in continental Europe, Australia, Nigeria, Canada and the USA.
Wednesday 2nd March
Organ tuition & Choir rehearsal. Enniskillen.
Thursday 3rd March,
6.00pm: Workshop on Hymn Accompaniment. St Aidan's Church, Kilmore, Armagh.
7.30pm - 'Meet & Sing'. Easy Anthems & Songs suitable for Easter, Harvest & general use.
Friday 4th March
Organ Tuition, Clogher.
Saturday 5th March
2.30 − 5.30pm: Organ Playing Workshop. St Aidan's Church, Kilmore, Armagh.
Workshop Part A
2.30 − 3.30pm: 'I'd like to play the organ, but never tried'. An explanatory talk on how it works & a chance to have a go! An opportunity for anyone at any age with basic keyboard skills.
Workshop Part B
3.30-5.30pm
'Might I improve my organ playing skills?' Open to any organist who wants to improve technique & gain a few tips. Participants must bring a piece of music or accompaniment to play.
