Colaghty Holiday Bible Club, Live the Experience'

The bible club ran from 4th - 8th August, 7.00pm - 8.30pm each night with children of all ages in attendance, with an average of 85 children each evening.

The bible club's theme this year was around the World Cup, with the memory verse from Philippians 3: 14, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.' NKJV

The games centred on football and the various training and coaching skills associated with the sport aptly set up and guided by Bill and Diane. The emphasis throughout the week was teamwork without the I. The children created team mascots for each of the teams present and were awarded points on design and names. A number of crafts done by the children included scratch T-shirts and bookmarkers.

Each night began with prayer, singing and warm up sessions as the children settle in before activities commenced. The memory verse was taught in various ways with some of the older children putting on a rap sketch and with puppets Marvin and Amanda.

We are grateful to each of our speakers over the week, Bill, Diane, Matthew, Kenneth and Stephen for sharing God's word and encouraging all present in their faith, witness and commitment to Christ. The talks focused on, unity/teamwork, commitment, exercise, physical and spiritual, endurance, and the ultimate prize Jesus Christ.

Refreshments were served each night finishing off the evening with the theme song and prayer from the requests asked by the children present.

Children and leaders were truly blessed in many ways in a week as one child described it as a spectacular bible club.
