On the 30th November and 1st December St Marks Church Aghadrumsee was awash with colour as they held a Christmas Tree Festival, a first for the parish and indeed for the Diocese of Clogher.
Christmas trees lit the pathway up to the church where everyone was enthralled with the vast variety of trees, the New Born Baby Tree, the Music Tree, the First Christmas Tree with all the decorations handmade by the children from the Sunday School, the Memories Tree showing photographs of past and present members of the Select Vestry and Ladies Guild over the last 50 years, to name but a few, there was something for everyone to see and explore. Visitors were then invited across to the hall where soup and tasty deserts were served. The event concluded on Sunday evening with a service of Carols, a wonderful end to a great weekend of celebration.
The organisers would like to thank all who worked so hard to make it such a success before, during and after the event. A special thank you must go to the Leary Family of Skea Flowers for their assistance and to the Ferguson Family for leading the music. The Ladies Guild also express thanks to their members and to all who decorated trees and helped in any way.
