Touring Youth Choir Perform Summer Concert in St Macartin's

 

Romsey Youth Choir, from Hampshire in England are performing a summer concert in St Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen on Wednesday 14th August at 7.00pm.

The 50 member choir was formed in October 2010 as a non-audition choir open to all young people aged 11 to 18 who love to sing. Since then they have produced cup winning performances at Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Southampton Music festivals as well as taking part in a variety of charity fund raising concerts including George's Trust, Parkinson's UK and Hampshire Air Ambulance. They have performed with the South Wales Male Voice Choir, the celebrated young harpist Ben Creighton Griffiths, and various local musicians. The choir is undertaking its first tour of Ireland during August and are performing concerts in Belfast, Londonderry and Enniskillen. The members of the choir are all very excited about coming to Ireland for their first tour and very much looking forward to performing at St Macartin's Cathedral.

Admission to the concert is free. A collection will be taken in aid of the Cathedral Hall Development Fund.Everyone is very welcome to come and enjoy this excellent choir.
