Remembrance Sunday will be marked in churches across Clogher Diocese with services and parades.

The main event will be in Enniskillen with a service in St Macartin’s Cathedral following the wreath-laying ceremony at the Cenotaph. Among those attending will be representatives of the governments of Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, United States and Poland.

This year’s commemorations will have special resonance recalling the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War alongside the fallen from other conflicts.

In Irvinestown, the Remembrance service takes place in the afternoon in Derryvullen North Parish Church which has the largest Commonwealth War Commission cemetery in Northern Ireland.

This weekend, Derryvullen North’s Threads of Remembrance exhibition which honours the fallen of the First World War continues.
