'Scouting in Fermanagh'

 

Maurice Lee, President of Fermanagh Scouting has recently published a book "Scouting in Fermanagh" in aid of Charity.

The book documents over 100 years of Scouting within Fermanagh containing 224 pages and over 500 photographs.

Having been involved in many different roles within Fermanagh Scouting Maurice always had an interest to find out more about Scouting within the county over the years. Some time ago he decided to take this further hence the Book "Scouting in Fermanagh". Maurice felt that it is very important to have on record what took place within Scouting in Fermanagh since the early 1910's.

The format of the book is as follows:

Beginnings of Scouting

Scouting Milestones: Yearly details of important events etc. with emphasis on Fermanagh dates if appropriate

Chief Scouts: Details of all those who has been Chief Scout

World Scout Jamborees: Details of the Fermanagh World Scout Jamboree Reps

Map of the world where Fermanagh Scouting has been represented

County Appointments, Census since 1950, Awards-King and Queen Scout Awards, Chief Scout Awards

Extracts from papers, records, etc regarding Fermanagh Scouting during the:
1910's/1920's, 1930's, 1940's, 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's, 2000's, 2010's to date
