Carolfest 2023 is to be held in Enniskillen this month.
The St Anne Trust have accepted an invitation from Dean Kenneth Hall and Monsignor Peter O’Reilly to hold a Carolfest in St Macartin’s Cathedral and St Michael’s Church.
The service will start in St Macartin’s Cathedral at 11.00am on Wednesday 13th December and then proceed to St Michael’s Church. One service of unity in two locations.
The Carolfest is a truncated form of the traditional Christmas service of nine lessons and carols and is designed especially for primary school children. Children from Enniskillen Integrated, Enniskillen Model and Holy Trinity primary schools will take part this year.
The Trust’s primary object is to enhance and promote good community relations amongst young people and their families, and they pursue this object through the medium of choral singing.
It has been established that singing, particularly as part of a choir, teaches children skills of self-discipline, to work as a team.
All are welcome, a cup of tea and a biscuit will be available after the service, courtesy of St Michael’s.
