Clergy in Clogher Diocese were given an insight into Pioneer Ministry, the new Church of Ireland initiative by Revd Rob Jones, National Director for Pioneer Ministry at their Maundy Thursday gathering in St Patrick’s Church, Monaghan.

Also the Clogher candle representing sending out the light of this new programme was presented by Rob having been lit at the service in St Patrick’s Dublin where Pioneer Ministry was launched.

Meanwhile some of the Pioneer Ministry team were privileged to sit down with the Archbishop of Wales, the Most Revd Andrew John; the Archbishop of Dublin, the Most Revd Dr Michael Jackson and the Archbishop of Canterbury’s former Missioner and Fresh Expressions Team Lead in the Church of England, Canon Phil Potter, to have a conversation about all things pioneering.

Both archbishops shared their vision and hopes for new life in Wales and Ireland, whilst Phil shared some stories and his experience of pioneering across the Anglican Communion. The discussion can be viewed on ‘Across the Church’ playlist on the YouTube website: www.youtube.com/churchofireland

Pioneer Ministry is an initiative of the Church of Ireland to reach those with little or no connection to church. Emerging from within to encourage, support and release a movement that has the capacity to reach people in new places and in different ways.
