Representatives from County Fermanagh Grand Orange Lodge and local Church Leaders met recently to finalise arrangements for their forthcoming “Recession Busters” initiative. At the conclusion of the meeting the County Grand Master, Rt. Wor. Bro. Norman Johnston, took the opportunity to congratulate Bishop Michael Jackson on his recent appointment as Archbishop of Dublin, and wished him well in his new calling. He also thanked him for the relationship he had built with the Orange Order during his time in Clogher Diocese, and for his help and support on many occasions throughout that period. He particularly commended him for playing a leading role in establishing this group, comprising leaders from the local Church of Ireland, Methodist, and Presbyterian Churches, County Fermanagh Grand Orange Lodge, and coordinated by Rev Earl Storey.
The Deputy County Grand Master, Wor. Bro. Stuart Brooker, and the County Grand Secretary,
Wor. Bro Robert Dane, added their congratulations and best wishes to Bishop Jackson also. They said “This group, albeit in it’s infancy, has already laid strong foundations for further positive initiatives in Co Fermanagh for the good of the whole community”
