CMS Ireland evening in Enniskillen
An Evening with CMS Ireland - Including the launch of CMS Ireland’s
Annual Project
CMS Ireland is delighted to announce a special event at St Macartin’s
Cathedral, Enniskillen (Hilliard Room) at 8pm on Tuesday 1st March 2011
with new Mission Director Ronnie Briggs.
As he settles into his new role, Ronnie is keen to meet with friends and
supporters across Ireland to share his vision for the future of the Society.
We invite all those interested in the work of CMS Ireland to come along.
Clogher Diocese has offered valuable support and encouragement to CMS Ireland
over many years and Ronnie is delighted to have this opportunity to meet
with parishioners from the Diocese.
The evening will also feature the launch of CMS Ireland’s Annual Project
for 2011: Living Stones – Building Church in Burundi. CMS Ireland’s
Annual Project gives children and young people the opportunity to engage
with what God is doing in another part of the world.
It is often said that “The Church is made up of people, not bricks
and mortar”. Of course, God’s Church is made up of living stones,
ordinary people who come in different shapes and sizes. But physical buildings
are important – both for practical reasons and as symbols of God’s
love and hope in communities.
Living Stones focuses on two sorts of ‘Church Building’: the
investment in leaders to help the Church grow as well as the construction
of physical centres of worship.
With DVD material, lesson plans and activities, the project pack provides
a wide range of resources for Sunday Schools who want to play their part
in God’s global story.
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 3rd March 2011 at 8pm in the Hilliard
Room in St Macartin’s Cathedral, Enniskillen.
