Bishop’s Tea Party for Mothers’ Union

On a beautiful sunny afternoon, the Indoor Members of the Mothers’ Union in Clogher Diocese gathered for their annual Tea Party in Garvary Parish Hall at the kind invitation of the Bishop and Mrs Jackson on Friday 4th June 2010. Twenty-six Indoor Members attended along with helpers and drivers.

The afternoon commenced with a service of Holy Communion celebrated by the Bishop and the Revd Canon John Stewart, Rector of Garvary Parish and Diocesan Chaplain to the Mothers’ Union.

Following a delicious tea, members enjoyed chatting to one another and meeting the Bishop and Mrs Jackson. It was also a pleasure for the group to have Mrs Geraldine Beattie, Diocesan President of the Mothers’ Union in attendance.

Dr Margaret Knox thanked all who had helped in any way in making this annual event a success and also thanked the Indoor Members for giving up their afternoon to share in fellowship. As is customary, all joined in singing energetically some favourite hymns to conclude the event.
