INISHMACSAINT MOTHERS' UNION
Members of Inishmacsaint Mothers’ Union arrived back safely and refreshed
on Monday 10th May after a pretty hectic weekend. They left Derrygonnelly in
the early hours of the morning on Friday the 7th May and headed for Holyhead.
It was a lovely bright morning and everyone was in good spirits which lasted
the whole weekend. Lots of fun and laughter, so those participating are not
sure if the bus driver will bring them again! The weather was sunny but cold,
nevertheless all enjoyed the good fresh air in Wales - stopping for a few hours
at LLandudno on their way. The group stayed at a lovely hotel in Mold. The
group had an early start every morning and were back in time for dinner each
evening. Places of interest visited included Chester, Cheshire Oakes, Betsy-Coed,
Snowdon and Llangfair g. On the Sunday morning the group joined for fellowship
in All Saints, Hoole where a few hundred people gathered. Everyone enjoyed
the lively service and received a great welcome from everyone.
It was great to have friends from the local Methodist Churches joining with
the group for this tour, along with other ladies from throughout the Diocese
of Clogher. On their way home, believe it or not, those participating were
asking "Where are we going next time in two years"? Needless to say
plans have not been made that far ahead yet!
