With only three shopping days to Christmas remaining, members of Clogher Diocese set out to do a day’s bag-packing in Tesco, Enniskillen for the Holy Land Medical Relief Fund which raised in excess of £3,500. The store was kind enough to grant us the opportunity to pack bags at all 19 checkouts from 9.00am to 9.00pm on Tuesday 22nd December.
Members of the two Diocesan Pilgrimages to the Holy Land in 2008 and 2009 took part as did many other members of the diocese of Clogher and the wider communities of Fermanagh and Monaghan. All monies kindly donated by Christmas shoppers go directly to the Holy Land Medical Relief Fund which will help St Luke’s Hospital, Nablus with equipment and supplies. St Luke’s Hospital opens its doors to everyone irrespective of social standing or creed.
