Bishop and Cleric sit out in Belleek in aid of Holy Land Medical Relief Fund

With Christmas Day only hours away, the Reverend Noel Regan and Bishop Michael Jackson took to the Main Street in Belleek County Fermanagh to sit out on Wednesday 23rd December. Revd Regan has charge of four parishes in the area – Belleek, Garrison, Slavin and Kiltyclogher. Both he and his wife Joan had accompanied the bishop on the Diocesan Holy Land Pilgrimage in 2008.

People shopping in Belleek were surprised to see both clergy braving the elements. From right across the community they responded very generously to the invitation to contribute to the Holy Land Medical Relief Fund, raising in excess of £1,200. The Fund will help St Luke’s Hospital, Nablus with equipment and supplies. St Luke’s Hospital opens its doors to everyone in need in the town of Nablus irrespective of class or creed.
