September 2024

Sunday 8th September – Open Garden Afternoon organised by Home-Start Lakeland in the private gardens of Lord and Lady Anthony Hamilton, Killyreagh House, 8 Ballylucas Road, Tamlaght BT74 4HX from 2pm-5pm. Refreshments, live music, stalls and activities for children. All proceeds in aid of Home-Start Lakeland to support families in Fermanagh.

Sunday 8th September – Ordination of Peter Booth in St. Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen at 7pm. More details later.

Sunday 8th September – Cleenish and Mullaghdun Parishes Back to School and Blessing of Schoolbags at services in both churches.

Sunday 8th September – St Macartin's Cathedral Mothers' Union 120th anniversary service in St Macartin's Cathedral at 11.00am conducted by The Dean, The Very Revd Kenneth Hall. A Civil Reception, hosted by the Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor John McClaughry will also be held in Enniskillen Townhall on Monday 30th September at 6.30pm, in honour of the occasion.

Friday 13th September – An Evening of Favourite Hymns with Friends' at 8pm in St. Mark's Newtownsaville. An evening featuring the parish's favourite hymns with the double blessing of Dean Raymond Ferguson and family and the Strule River String Band. All proceeds from the evening will go towards much needed repair projects around the Church. Supper will be served.

Saturday 14th - Sunday 15th September 2024 – European Heritage Open Days at St. John's Church, Fivemiletown as part of heritage weekend. Over 250 heritage buildings and events are opening during this weekend.

Saturday 14th September – Coffee Morning and Cake Sale in Lisbellaw Parish Centre from 10am to 1pm. Proceeds in aid of church funds.

Friday 20th September – Harvestfest Old Time Singalong at 8.00pm in Aghadrumsee Church featuring local bands and musicians.

Friday 20th September – Donagh Group of Parishes Harvest Dance in the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan Harvest Dance with doors open at 10pm. ?15 per person.

Saturday 21st September – Mullaghdun Parish Auction in the Parochial Hall, Letterbreen. Viewing from 1.00pm and the auction will start at 2.00pm. All donations gratefully received. These can be collected on Wednesday or Thursday evenings or dropped to the Parochial Hall on Friday. Please contact the Churchwardens or Mr Jim Clements on 07873 921111 to arrange collection of any items to be donated.

Sunday 22nd September – Tubrid Church 250th Anniversary Service combined with Harvest Thanksgiving at 3pm. Preacher: The Bishop of Clogher, Right Revd Dr. Ian Ellis followed by a meal. Thursday 26th September - Wednesday 2nd October 2024 – Devenish Parish Bowling Club Pairs Tournament on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday with finals night on Wednesday 2nd October in Reade Hall, Monea. Entries to William Harpur, 02866341237, 07796221797.

Saturday 28th September – Sallaghy MU Coffee morning are holding a coffee morning at 10.00am with money raised going to Mothers' Union Overseas.

Saturday 28th September – Harvest Concert featuring Concentio Chamber Choir in Lisbellaw Parish Church at 8pm. Tickets on arrival at £10. Performances by Jonathan Ireland and Concentio Chamber Choir, Lisbellaw and Tattygar Primary Schools and The Rector, Revd William Jeffrey.

Sunday 29th September – Service of Holy Communion on the occasion of the Admission and Licensing of Mrs Sarah Maguire and Mr William Graham as Diocesan Readers in Magheracross Parish Church, Ballinamallard at 4.30pm by The Bishop of Clogher, the Right Revd Dr Ian Ellis, assisted by Revd Lorraine Capper.

Sunday 29th September – Donagh Group Service with The Blessing of Animals in St. Salvator's Church, Glaslough at 10.30am. Bring your pets to church.

October 2024

Thursday 3rd - Saturday 5th October 2024 – Garrison Drama Group's Sam Cree comedy 'Wedding Fever' in the Gilaroo Centre, Garrison involving members of Garrison church. Follow the parish website for details about tickets closer to the time.

Friday 4th October – St. Mark's Augher Harvest Praise at 7.30pm in St. Mark's Augher with guest singer, Mr Kenny Archer and the preacher will be the Rector. All proceeds from the evening will go towards the refurbishment of the Church's East Window. Everyone welcome and supper will be served in the hall following the service.

Saturday 12th October – Clabby Annual Tractor Run with registration from 10am and departure from Clabby Church Hall at 11.00am. Further details from Jim Monteith 07751803660. All Proceeds towards church funds.

Saturday 12th October – Fivemiletown Harvest Auction, Coffee Morning and Cake Sale from 10am - 1pm in the Parish Hall with viewing from 9.15am. Auction of firewood, local produce and a wide variety of top-quality items. Could you donate an item? Preferred items are tools, garden equipment, toys, crafts, sticks/turf or local produce.

Saturday 19th October – Colebrooke Parish Auction in Colebrooke Church Hall at 2.00pm. Further details to follow.

Sunday 20th October – Service of Remembrance in Mullaghfad Church at 3.00pm when parishioners will again be joined by the Fivemiletown and Lisburn Branches of the Royal British Legion.

November 2024

Saturday 9th November – Fivemiletown Autumn Quiet Day in the Parish Hall at 10am led by Canon David Ferry.

Tuesday 12th - Thursday 14th November 2024 – Clogher Clergy Conference will be held in Dunfanaghy.

December 2024

Sunday 1st December – Advent Carol Service in Mullaghfad Church at 3.00pm weather permitting. As in previous years, the collection taken at this service will be in aid of one of our local charities. Everyone is most welcome.

Friday 6th - Sunday 8th December 2024 – Christmas Tree Festival in Cooneen Parish Church celebrating their 150 year anniversary. Viewing will begin on the Friday from 10am to 9pm, on Saturday from 10am to 9pm and on Sunday from 2pm to 7pm closing with a Carol Service at 7.30pm. A Santa's Grotto will be present and refreshments served.

May 2025

Friday 9th - Saturday 10th May 2025 – General Synod of the Church of Ireland in 2025 will take place in Lawlor's Hotel, Naas, Co. Kildare with remote sessions on Tuesday 13th May and Thursday 15th May (if a second remote session is required).
