November 2025

Thursday 27th November – Clogher Diocesan Synod commencing with a Service of Holy Communion at 6.30pm in St. John's Parish Church, Fivemiletown and afterwards followed by a meeting of Synod in Fivemiletown Parish Hall commencing at 7.30pm.

Thursday 27th November – Ballinode Church Christmas Floral Demonstration by JP Flowers will be held at 8pm.

Friday 28th November – Concert led by PSNI Ladies Choir in Derryvullen South Parish Hall, Tamlaght at 8pm. Music will include inspirational pieces, songs from musicals and some Christmas items.

Friday 28th November – Cooneen Annual Sale of Work in the Parish Hall beginning at 6.30pm. Many of the usual and favourite stalls will be present again, including Christmas Crafts, Cakes and Treats, Hamper Raffle and Tea, Coffee and Refreshments. Everyone most welcome.

Saturday 29th November – Parish Auction in Lisbellaw Parish Centre at 12 noon.

Sunday 30th November – Lights of Love Christmas Tree in memory of a loved one launched at Rossorry Parish Church with a lighting ceremony at 4pm. All donations will go towards the new Parish Centre. The names of those being remembered will be displayed in the church and shared on our Facebook page. If you do not wish to disclose details of your loved one, it is not necessary to do so. Donations can be made through the GoFundMe link on our Facebook page. Alternatively, a cheque can be made payable to Rossorry Parish Church.

Sunday 30th November – St Andrew's Day Abseil down St. Finbarr's Church Tower by Revd Ian Cruickshank in a kilt at 2.30pm as a fundraiser to do some renovation work to the tower. If you wish to donate, please contact Revd Ian on 0852579999.

December 2025

Monday 1st December – Annual General Meeting of County Monaghan Church of Ireland Children's Society in Aghabog Church Hall at 3pm. The meeting will be chaired by the Bishop of Clogher and everyone is welcome to come along and learn about what we do.

Friday 5th - Sunday 7th December 2025 – Christmas Tree Festival in St. Mark's Church, Newtownsaville with the theme, 'Light of the World.' Opening on Friday 5 December from 7pm-9pm with Murley Silver Band and on Saturday from 10am - 8pm and on Sunday from 2pm-7pm closing with a Carol Service.

Friday 5th December – Sallaghy Parish Concert in the Parish Hall with The Silvertones' and 'Ballinamallard Accordion Band'.

Friday 5th December – A Night of Carols in Drum Church at 8pm with Lisnaskea Silver Band and Cantari Donagh to lead the music and singing. All are welcome, do come along and bring a friend. Refreshments served.

Friday 5th December – Monaghan Collegiate Sale in St Patrick's Church Hall from 10am to 2pm. There will be the usual stalls with tea and coffee available. Please come along and bring your friends.

Saturday 6th December – Winter Sale in Rockcorry School from 11am until 2 pm with usual stalls, car wash, sale of timber and teas. The schoolchildren will also play an important role on the day with their stalls. Santa has also promised to make an appearance.

Saturday 6th December – Craft and Antique Fair with Vintage Themed Tea hosted by The Church Lads' Brigade in St John's Parish Hall, Fivemiletown from 10-3pm.

Sunday 7th December – Trory Christmas Lights switch-on with a short social event at the Airport Café. Mince pies, hot drinks and nibbles will be available from 7pm and a short Christmas Carol-oke' from approximately 7.30pm. The lights switch-on at 8pm.

Sunday 7th December – MENCAP Carol Service in Magheracross Parish Church, Ballinamallard at 3pm with Rev C. Eames.

Tuesday 9th December – Interdenominational Carol Service in St Patrick's Church, Monaghan at 8pm followed by refreshments in the hall.

Thursday 11th December – Community Carol Service in St. Mark's Parish Church, Aghadrumsee at 7.00 pm in partnership with Clogh Church, SEFF and Aghadrumsee Primary School.

Friday 12th - Sunday 14th December 2025 – Christmas Tree Festival in Killeevan Parish Church, Clones, Co. Monaghan opening on Friday at 12 noon and continuing on Saturday and Sunday with the closing Carol Service at 7.30pm. There will be musical performances, heritage talk, visit by Santa and refreshments served.

Friday 12th December – Christmas Quiz will take place in Melvin View, Garrison at 8pm in aid of the Rectory Fund. Seasonal supper will be served, everyone welcome.

Saturday 13th December – St. Tighernach`s Church, Clones Christmas Fayre in the Creighton Hotel, Clones, from 10.00am-12.30pm. Everyone is welcome to come along to enjoy the festive atmosphere, buy some hand-crafted gifts and enjoy a cuppa with tasty home-made cake.

Tuesday 16th December – Black Santa Sit-out at Lisbellaw Parish Church by the Rector, Revd William Jeffrey from 6.30am to 6.30pm (12 hours) at the Parish Church. During these times the Church will be open, and all are invited for a time of silence and prayer at this busy time of year. All proceeds to Women's Aid Fermanagh and Parish Funds.

Tuesday 16th December – Enniskillen Royal Grammar School Carol Service at 7.30pm(Ticket only - please contact the School).

Wednesday 17th December – Black Santa Sit-out by Revd Lorraine Capper at Magheracross Parish Church, Main Street, Ballinamallard from 8am to 8pm. This year the funds will go to establishing a sensory garden at Ballinamallard Primary School.

Thursday 18th December – Dean's Sit-out for charity outside Enniskillen Cathedral gates from 9.00am to 9.00pm for the following charities; - Bishops' Appeal which contributes to relief of suffering in time of emergencies; - Air Ambulance NI to provide the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for the region. Serious or life-threatening - St Macartin's Cathedral Outreach Fund designed to be people focused' and not building focused'.

Thursday 18th December – A Blue Christmas Service in Mullaghdun Parish Church at 7.30pm. This is a special service for those for whom Christmas is difficult. All welcome.

Friday 19th December – Kilmore Parish Candlelight Carol Service in Co. Monaghan at 7.30pm. Service to be taken by Revd Billy Johnston. Special music from harpist, Avamarie McCabe and Soloist Veronica Mukss.

January 2026

Saturday 10th January – 2026 Epiphany Lecture at 4pm in Rossorry Parish Church when Mr. Gordon Hayhurst will be speaking about Operation Chastise' - The Dambuster Raid of 16-17th May 1943. This raid was immortalised in the 1955 movie The Dam Busters. Gordon has two relatives who served on Operation Chastise and Bomber Command, Thomas Stanley Hayhurst and Bill Howarth. Along with his talk Gordon will have an array of period artefacts on display. Please come along for a most interesting talk by Mr. Gordon Hayhurst.

Thursday 15th January – Table Quiz hosted by Devenish and Boho Parishes in the Reade Hall, Monea at 7.30pm.

Friday 23rd January – Embrace Social in Colebrooke Parish Hall beginning at 8.00pm. Further details to follow via the parish Facebook page.

February 2026

Thursday 12th February – Tempo Table Quiz in Tempo Church Hall at 8pm. Everyone welcome.

Friday 27th February – Tempo Parish Pudding Night in Tempo Parish Church Hall at 8pm. Due to the storm in October this event was cancelled. All tickets sold will be honoured. £10 admission. The artistes are Brian Rankin and Erin Foster with proceeds towards church funds. Everyone welcome.

March 2026

Friday 20th March – Clabby Parish Table Quiz at 8pm in Clabby Church Hall. Everyone welcome. All proceeds to Church funds.

Saturday 28th March – Marriage Preparation Course for South West NI including including County Monaghan Area and the Omagh area will be held in Kiltermon Church, Ballagh Road, Fivemiletown fro 9.30am to 4pm.
