Clogher Diocesan Board of Religious Education invites children and young people to enter the following competitions. This year's theme is: The 10 Commandments
Archdeacon Ruddell Prize
• Create a set of ten posters which show that you know and understand what each of the Ten Commandments means today
This competition is open to children of primary school age and can be either an individual or a group entry.
Bishop's Medal
• Create a set of ten posters which show that you know and understand what each of the Ten Commandments means today
• When Jesus was asked which of the commandments was the most important, how did he respond? (Mark 12 v 28-31)
• With the Ten Commandments and with Jesus's response to the above question in mind, discuss how it might be possible for young people to show love for God and love for others today e.g. at home, at school, in church and in their communities
This competition is open to young people of secondary school age and must be an individual entry.
→ Include relevant text, pictures, diagrams, photographs etc.
→ Entries should be on A4 paper
→ All entries must be original, the work of those entering
→ Entries can be handwritten and/or hand drawn or use IT skills to help
All entries should please be left in the Diocesan Office by Wednesday 26th April 2017.
