August 2019

Saturday 24th August – Garden Fete and Fun Day in Garrison Rectory grounds when they are encouraging everyone including farmers to take a much needed afternoon off before the end of the summer to spend some time with family and friends for fellowship with one another. Proceeds from the day will go to the Rectory Maintenance Fund.

September 2019

Sunday 1st September – Open Walled Garden event at Corick House and Spa, Clogher from 1pm to 8pm, when all donations on the day will be generously given to the St. Macartan's Cathedral Repair Fund. Complimentary tea, coffee and a tray bakes will be available.

Tuesday 3rd September – Board of Education Committee meeting at 10am.

Tuesday 3rd September – Diocesan Council Meeting at 2pm.

Friday 6th September – Derryvullen South Parish Barbecue will be held at 7.00 pm in the Parish Hall, Tamlaght. Proceeds in aid of Church Funds and Hall Funds.

Friday 6th September – Kilskeery Parish Barbecue planned. Further details later.

Saturday 7th September – Galloon Parish Auction in the Church Hall, Newtownbutler at 12 Noon. Already there are some good items and more have been promised. Saturday 7th September – Coffee Morning in Tempo Church Hall from 10am - 1pm.

Sunday 8th September – Dedication of Memorial Plaque at a service in Christ Church, Maguiresbridge at 3pm to the local members of the Ulster Special Constabulary for duty carried out. The standard of the Parish Church Lads' Brigade will be displayed in the church.

Thursday 12th September – Service of Institution of Revd Philip Bryson as Rector of Kilskeery and Trillick Group of Parishes at 7.30 pm in Kilskeery Parish Church.

Friday 13th September – Harvest Thanksgiving and Gospel Music Evening with Lynda Lindsay, in Slavin Church, Belleek at 8 pm. Everyone welcome to come along and enjoy Harvest Supper.

Sunday 15th September – Service of Ordination Service of Ordination on the Sunday evening in St Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen.

Sunday 15th September – European Heritage Day when Rossorry Parish Church will be open for visitors on Sunday from 2-5pm. Rossorry Church is this year part of the programme of available properties to visit in this NI-wide weekend of opening of properties of historic and cultural interest.

Tuesday 17th September – Public Talk by Revd David Latimer on 'My Bumpy Road to Peace' based on his book A Leap of Faith', recounting his remarkable friendship with Martin McGuinness in Mahon's Hotel, Irvinestown beginning at 7pm.

Saturday 21st September – Coffee Morning from 10.30am - 1.30pm for St. Mary's Errigal Portclare Building Repair Fund in St. James' Church of Ireland Hall in Aughnacloy (kindly granted). Everyone warmly invited.

Thursday 26th September – Clogher Diocesan Synod at 5.30pm in the Cathedral Hall, Enniskillen beginning with a Service of Holy Communion in St Macartin's Cathedral.

Thursday 26th September – Lunchtime Healing Service in the Iona Room, St. Macartin's Cathedral Hall, Enniskillen 1.00 - 1.35pm led by Miss Helen Humphries.

Friday 27th September – Maguiresbridge and Derrybrusk Parishes Sponsored Walk from Belle Isle Orange Hall to Belle Isle Castle and return. £10 per walker.

Friday 27th September – Ecumenical Harvest Service St. Mary's, Glennan at 8pm with Donagh Community Choir. Preacher: Revd. Lorraine Capper.

Sunday 29th September – Enniskillen Memorial fundraising 'Big Sing' takes place St. Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen when St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church Choir along with the Methodist Church Choir and the Presbyterian Church Choir will join with St Macartin's Cathedral Choir. As churches together they would like the community to gather together to raise money to assist in completing this project. This successful agreed outcome has produced a plan which integrates the existing memorial into a larger memorial which will visually connect the War Memorial to the Enniskillen Memorial. It will be a very fitting tribute to those who lost their lives. Target for the project £15,000.

Sunday 29th September – Garrison Church Friends' Service in Garrison Parish Church at 4pm. A chance to welcome back and chat with old friends and meet new acquaintances. We are delighted to welcome Strule River String Band to this informal service. Light refreshments will be served at the interval. There is no entry charge but a collection will be taken up towards church funds and ongoing church refurbishments.

Monday 30th September – Farm, Fellowship and Faith will take the form of a health meeting for Colaghty Parish at 8.00pm at the parish hall. The farm health bus will, DV, be available from 5pm - 9pm for farmers to avail of, although this will require pre-booking. For more details, contact the Rector.

October 2019

Tuesday 1st October – Marshall Beresford and Church Fabric Fund deadline for applications.

Sunday 6th October – Annual SEFF Service will be held in Templecarne Church at 3pm conducted by Revd Charles Eames. Revd Canon Ngozi Njoku will be the speaker.

Monday 7th - Sunday 13th October 2019 – Colaghty Parish Mission Thy Word is Truth' excluding Saturday, with speaker Revd William Anderson, formally Tullanisken and Clonoe. Monday to Friday services re at 8.00pm and Sunday evening at 7.00pm. Sunday morning service at 11.30am with Jeff Gawn. This mission will incorporate our harvest weekend services with light refreshments in the hall each night.

Friday 11th October – A Country and Gospel Concert in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Drumate RBP 992 takes place in the Union Hall, Newbliss at 8pm. It will be hosted by Gary Wilson and all are welcome. Tea served afterwards and admission is €10.

Saturday 12th October – Harvest Barn Dance in Lisbellaw Parish Centre at 8pm with Jason Kilfedder.

Saturday 12th October – Men's Prayer and Rugby Breakfast in Maguiresbridge Parish Hall. The event coincides with the Rugby World Cup in Japan when there will be matches featuring New Zealand v Italy, England v France and Ireland v Samoa, all taking place during the morning

Friday 18th October – Country and Gospel Concert in Magheracross Parish Church at 8pm. Artistes appearing include Silvertones Male Voice Choir, Church Choir, Crawford Bell, Margaret Johnston, Sarah McAlpine - Harpist and Revd. David McBeth - Compere. Admission: £10

Friday 18th October – Monaghan Parish Sale will be in St. Patrick's Hall from 10am -2pm. Tea and Coffee will be available as well as the usual stalls and all are welcome.

Friday 18th October – Country and Western Concert in Magheracross Parish Church, Ballinamallard at 8.00pm. Artistes appearing include: Crawford Bell, Margaret Johnston, Revd David McBeth, Sarah McAlpine (Harpist), Silver Tones Male Voice Choir and the Church Choir. Proceeds from the concert are going towards the new kitchen in the Archdale Hall. Admission: £10. Tickets available from Vestry members.

Saturday 19th October – Magheraculmoney Parish Auction in Kesh. The organisers are looking for any pledges you may be able to make that can be auctioned off as well as auction items.

Sunday 20th October – Annual Service of Remembrance in All Saints, Mullaghfad at 3.00pm with members of Fivemiletown Royal British Legion and Lisburn Royal British Legion attending. Friends and visitors will be most welcome.

Monday 21st - Monday 28th October 2019 – Devenish Parish Bowling Club Annual Tournament takes place in the Reade Hall, Monea on Monday 21st October, Wednesday 23rd October, Thursday 24th October, Friday 25th October with the finals night on Monday 28th October. Tuesday 22nd - Thursday 24th October 2019 – Clogher Clergy Conference in Dunfanaghy, Co.Donegal.

Thursday 24th October – Grand Charity Concert promoted by Derryvullen North Parish at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen. Doors open at 7.15pm and curtain up at 8.00pm sharp. The concert will be starring Cathy Durkin, White Lightening, Shawn Cuddy, Tony Kerr, Family Affair plus Ireland's No 1 Elvis, Andy Rogers. The compere will be Ivan Kee. Tickets £15 from Tom Reid's, St Michael's Bookshop, MR Financial Services, Leslie's Coffee Shop and the Killyhevlin Hotel. The total proceeds will go to the Cardiac, Intensive Care and Stroke Units.

Wednesday 30th October – Musical Evening in St Mark's Parish Church, Aghadrumsee with Revd Dr. Jean Mackarel.

November 2019

Thursday 14th November – 35th Annual Variety Concert will be held in the Youth Hall, Tullyhommon (kindly granted) at 8pm. The guest artist will be Kenny Archer with various other local artists performing. Please support this annual event which is enjoyed by all.

Friday 22nd November – Kesh Rural Deanery Youth Event at 8.00pm in Colaghty Parish Hall. The evening is open to all young people across the Kesh Deanery and beyond. The speaker will be Hannah Arnold of Christian Action Research and Education (CARE) on relevant topics making the news at present.

Sunday 24th November – 175th Anniversary of Drummully Parish Church will be celebrated with a joint service on Sunday, 24th November at 3.00pm, the Feast of Christ The King. This is to be officiated by Bishop John McDowell. Supper will be served afterwards in the Church Hall. Everyone will be made warmly welcome.

Friday 29th - Saturday 30th November 2019 – Lisbellaw Parish Presents their play, Dancerella at 7.30 in Lisbellaw Parish Centre.

December 2019
