November 2021

Monday 29th November – Age-ility health and wellbeing programme in Derryvullen South Parish Hall on Monday mornings at 10.30am. Designed specifically to demonstrate the positive impact that learning some simple circus skills (juggling, plate spinning, hat tricks, etc) can have on health and wellbeing for people with disabilities and the elderly. Delivered by Streetwise Community Circus under instruction from a qualified instructor, Belfast. These sessions are free and open to all adults aged 50 and over. All the equipment is provided. December 2021

Monday 6th December – Co. Monaghan Church of Ireland Children's Society AGM in St. Patrick's Church Hall, Monaghan, on Monday 6th December at 3.00pm. The Chairman, the Bishop of Clogher and Mrs Etta Crowe (Secretary) would like to invite all who are interested in the work of this society to attend.

Wednesday 8th December – Shopper's Service in Derryvullen North Parish Centre at 11.00am, a short half hour service of Holy Communion led by Canon Paul Thompson with Richard McGonigle accompanying the praise on the guitar.

Saturday 11th December – Clabby Parish Tractor Run from Clabby Church Hall. Registration at 9am and leaving at 10am. All tractors welcome. Proceeds towards Church funds. For further details contact Jim Monteith on 07751803660 or 028 89521167.

Sunday 12th December – Drive-in Carol Service organised by St Patrick's Church, Monaghan combining with other churches in the town. Venue and time to be announced later.

Wednesday 15th December – 'Blue Christmas' Service in St Macartan's Cathedral, Clogher at 7.30pm. The Christmas season is not always a happy time for some people, or indeed at best it can often be a time of many mixed emotions. The Advent and Christmas seasons can remind us of loved ones or relationships we have lost or indeed are not as we would wish.

Sunday 19th December – Carols by Candlelight at 4.30pm in Priory Church, Killadeas, followed by a mince pie and mulled wine

Sunday 19th December – Carols by Candlelight in the grounds of Old Benmore Rectory around the barbecue fire, adjacent to Inishmacsaint Church at 7.30pm. Those who are able will park their cars in the church car park and stroll up the winding avenue lit by candles. Church Hill Silver Band will lead the carols and afterwards we will share in traditional Christmas refreshments.

Monday 20th December – St. Finbarr's Church Grand Christmas Draw to raise parish funds. Tickets are priced at ?10 with a top prize of ?300 along with a number of other great prizes donated by local businesses. Parishioners of St Finbarr's, Carrickmacross are encouraged to sell tickets to friends and family as we seek to redress some of the financial loss caused by the pandemic.

Thursday 7th - Saturday 9th April 2022 – Inishmacsaint Parish Pantomime rescheduled to April due to the ongoing ramifications and uncertainty of Covid.

May 2022

Thursday 5th - Saturday 7th May 2022 – General Synod for 2022 takes place at Croke Park, Dublin.

June 2022

Thursday 2nd June – Queen's Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving in St. Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen at 8pm followed by a beacon lighting ceremony in the grounds of the Cathedral.
